Sun Light Is No Longer Shining

The sunlight is no longer shining through the
Windows of our minds
Because we are now trapped into this
dark environment with many real brothers
Of the same kind.
Where we no longer embrace the black
Sisters in our lives to call our own
Because the government is killing two birds with
One little stone and now our girls are gone
But many brothers are still holding onto faith
that one day freedom will come
Despite the demonstration that the "terminator" dis-
Played when he executed
"Tookie Williams" on the front page
Where it was so plain for the eyes to see
That our roots are getting killed off along with time
Which should be all the right reasons in the world
For us to stop the black on black crimes
The sunlight is no longer shining through
The windows or our minds
Because we are now trapped into this dark
environment with many real
brothers of the same kind
Whose anger is constantly building within
this world of danger
Because we haven't yet to find any light
at the other end of the dark chamber
So one must prepare for his death at any
given day or time
And pray for the kids that may not ever
reach to see their primes
O'lord they treating us so wrong
But will you please continue to give us the
Strenghth to move on strong
By answering our prayers and blessings
Our future seeds
Who will soon be ripping and running
Throughout the ghetto streets
Because we must make our kids road
in life smooth, where there is true love
So they all will know that there is only
One true god up above
Cause there have been trillions of casualties
behind religious wars
That effected many generations with a
lifetime of scars
Leaving the sunlight to no longer shine
Through the windows of our minds
Because we are now trapped into this dark environ-
ment with many real brothers of the same kind
Where our hearts are now fully loaded,
From carrying too much consecutive time.
