We all are going to get old one day. This is a reality that we as people have to accept.Every person has some type of fear of this reality or fear that someone they care for may die from old age.Alot of us overlook the problems that our elders have to deal with, such as abuse and the possibilty of someone taking advantage of them.
Many of us just turn a blind eye and take the easy way out by acting like we didn't see something that we know we saw.For instance, you happen to ride, walk or run past an elders home and you see them in front yard struggling to push the lawn mower to cut the lawn.Instead of stopping to lend a helping hand, we continue on down the rode by acting like we didn't see anything.
When i was young ,It was the nice things I did for the elders that made me feel good.Like, taking out the their trash ,cutting their lawns and even taking them to the store.Me,personally,I never turned a blind eye but I know plenty of people that have.If you happen to be one that may have turned a blind eye,in the past, make sure you don't do it again because always remember-one day you too will be old.
This article is note meant to criticize anyone in particular,it was created as a wake up call for the public to help our elders.

A lot of truth in this piece, well said....Not only our Elders should be helped, but everyone should help one another if we can...we are all Gods children, brothers and sisters alike. It never hurts to extend a helping hand to someone even if you don't know them...we all live on this earth as a community. Amen!
